compass/temp mirror intallation help
Hi,
I'm got a compass/temp miroor from an 2001 RT that I want to install on my 2004 neon...
With this thread I fond where get signal for 6 of 8 wire that I have to run to the mirror...
The 2 wires that I don't know where to plug are "Ambien temperature sensor signal" and "Sensor ground" I know that the sensor is present on 2003 + because NGC computer need it, my question is, do you lnow if this signal is somewher on the dash? Do I have to splice wire and connect them directly on wire near the sensor on the front bumber?
Thank you for your help!!

i'm gonna bank on that those wires won't be under the dash. but all you have to do is run the wires from the sensor into the car. here's the wiring diagram for the ambient air temp sensor

that s113 splice does share a sensor ground with the clock spring, but i wouldn't risk messing around with that. other than that, the wires go straight to the PCM, so they're probably not super long

Thanks all... Actually Caraudioholic is working for me on
PM!!
I think to an other solution.. I have an extra sensor on a box, do you think it will work if I fix it near the other ambient on the front of the car and wire it directly to the mirror?
Thank you
***** I will show you my diagram when all will be working!!

The mirror is installed and wired! What I wrote on my last post is real, we don't have to connect sensor to the mirror, the mirror get his informations througt the PCI BUS from NGC computer.
I still have an issue:
Mi mirror is working, but each time a retart my car, my zone setting and an Celcius/faraneight settings are lost... I'm canadian so I set it to C, each time I retart my car it is back on F. Exept this details, it's a great thing!
If someone avec an idea for the "memery" on the mirror tell me!
I will create an how to plug it over the week end.

If the pink - black pink wire (from fuse 4/Batt M11) is not constant power, it will not retain memory.

Pin 1 turns the mirror on/off with the ign. Pin 2 needs the constant 12v power for the memory.
It is just like a car radio. There are two power inputs: One for ign switched, and one constant 12v for memory.

Yes I'm sure that pin 2 has constant 12V, I did a test and connect it directly to the battery with groung direct to the body and mirror lost his memory...
Does someone can do a test for me? Put your mirro en Celcius (hold right button 5 second) and then stop start your car, if it is still un Celcius, stop you car, unplug the connector behind your mirror for 10 second, replug it and restart your car and tell me if your mirror is still in Celcius.
Thak you
