2002 neon adding factory cruise?

this sight has way too many sections so if this is not in the right section please tell me which one it should be in, i just bought an 02 neon and it has every option except cruise control, does anyone here know if i can add factory cruise control if i just get the right parts from a junk yard,i know i can buy aftermarket cruise but i wanted the stock look, thank you for any info

Other than pulling the steering wheel, which can be daunting to some, it's usually quite easy to add cruise. Likely most of the wiring is already there so you only need to put in the clock spring, switches, run throttle cables and mount the servo/vacuum assembly. If you are curious look for a vacant plug taped behind the a/c canister in your engine bay. If there's a plug taped in there you car is pre-wired for cruise and it'll be easy.

I'm 3/3 on cars already having the difficult parts installed from the factory when adding cruise.

The part with the white ring around the green and yellow in the middle.

I had to run one wire from the connector under the pedals to the column to make mine complete. Luckily the parts I got had the column connector half with them, so I could make that end plug and play. I had to splice the other end.

It goes behind the steering wheel and the inside rotates with the wheel while the outside stays stationary. It's what allows the airbag and cruise buttons to work on the rotating part of the wheel without twisting up wiring harnesses.

The cruise version is different from a non-cruise one so make sure you get it with your parts.

Also the clock spring is a semi-fragile part. Don't just start twisting it! The wires in there can break if you turn it too far.

Plus adhere strictly to the re centering procedure on the label. Or else you may rip the ribbon.

If you ever remove the steering column, tie the wheel so it cannot freely turn.

thanks for the links i think i will be able to figure it out, i'll let you all know if i get it done, i have emailed the guy that has the stuff for sale here but have not got an answer yet.
