What do ya think?
Im not sure if this is the right section to post this, but I found a local srt for sale on craigslist and wanted to get your guys' opinion. Seems pretty cheap maybe too cheap? I haven't spoken to the seller yet.

when even the seller says the car has it's flaws i would think it three times over. Maybe he's over-honest but i'd get veeery suspicious

I don't really mind the paint if it's just the bumpers and hood but if it's the whole car then idk... but the directionals also had me wondering. Im gonna go ahead and call the guy and ask for some engine pics and take it from there. I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks!

I called the guy yesterday but got his voicemail so hopefully i get a call back. I went ahead and got an insurance quote to see what im getting into and i was quoted for $67.97/month & $407.97/6 months. Thats seems like a good price for an 18yr old right?

MyNeonSaysHi: i was really shocked too when the guy told me this but i guess i have alot of discounts. It's milatary insurance (USAA) and im also a son of a veteran who's over seas right now so i guess that gives me a good discount aswell & nope its my own policy.

Your dad being deployed has nothing to do with your insurance quote.
And Geico was cheaper than USAA for me...and I've been with USAA for years.
<-- was active duty at the time, now I'm a veteran.

hmm, idk then i'll just take it and run lol. My mom is on the fence about it now after she just read an article entitled "srt-4: fastest production vehicle under 20,000" -_- but mom its just a neon!
I understand where she's coming from though...

You have your OWN plan or you under your parents plan? Makes a big difference.
Either way, I'd probably pass on that SRT.. I've seen way better conditioned ones for $6 to 7...
It looks like it was beat to hell....and obviously NOT taken care of. I'm willing to bet 3rd gear grinds near redline as well....lol
Not sure how mechanically inclined you are...
If you are a good mechanic....and it's not your ONLY vehicle.. it'd be a great buy at $3500 (offer low) and just replace things you find wrong with it.
if it's your main mode of transportation, i'd say no thanks.
