What year camaro exhausts fit an 00 - 05 neon? Or is that just after market stuff? I'm looking for the duel exhaust look. Thanks.

Eighties style. Don't know the specific years. Mid to late? Not the full size, I think F bodies.

Cool. Was thinking I'll try the local bone yard and see what I see just for fun. When I drop my ride this weekend I want it to sound as good as it looks. Thanks

mine was a "stock" Camaro muffler installed by a local muffler shop - take measurements - you'll need one approx the same dimensions as the original Neon muffler

Thanks for the advice. This isn't something I can do myself then? As far as installation?

No luck at the bone yard for a old camaro exhaust. when they bring em in, they cut em off and throw em away for scrap. Didnt think of that. so i guess i'll be rockin a stock muffler on my new lowered ride. cause 60$ isnt gonna buy much lol.

It's the 93-02 camaro/firebird V8 muffler, at least that's what magnaflow lists it as. I think dynomax and walker mufflers are around $70 online, might be easier than looking in a junk yard.

Take the muffler off. It's loud but not ricer sounding. I drove my SXT like that for 5 years.

So many neons so little time.

You could do this, I suppose.
I recall that when the muffler fell off the 2000 MTX that we have, I was surprised at how 'quiet' it was !
On an ATX, results may be different.
I ran without a cat on my '95 (
with a muffler) for 3 days and I HATED it. It sounded like I was running around with a glasspack.

I installed my thrush exhaust last night. Winds pretty good but it is a litter loud around 3k RPMs ... I don't have a tip on it yet.... maybe that will quiet it down a little?

I have a "camaro" style Thrush with SRT-4 tips on my '02 SXT. Sounds decent at low rpm. I spent around $60 for the muffler and all the hardware to install it.

I used an 80 series Flowmaster(camaro) on my 96. It sounded like garbage until I threw a 24" glasspack in the mid pipe. It sounded so nice after that.

i put a tip on my Thrush* and i like the sound. but i am still thinking glass pack. Saving up for a camaro type exhaust in the future.
