Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

projector hid combo on ebay has any bought this?

Post by vi_ryder » Fri May 18, 2012 12:10 am

i was thinking about getting this since my headlight assembly keeps blowing my bulbs due to them rattling. its bin a while since anyone asked about hids. i saw that projectors came with hids now and wondered will it work or is it better to buy hids and projectors separately\? one looks like it comes with the wiring harness and the other doesnt not to sure. so i need some input will this work on my 2002 without any additional wiring or having to tap into my stock harness and will i have both high and low beam?

if you want a dual headlight set up with separate low and high beam then definitely go with the ebay projectors, if you want the single then a retro would be your best option. i'm personally opting for the former because i like having the two lights completely separate from each other. most of the hid kits come with a plug to connect to your factory wiring the only wires you would have to run would be the power to the battery and for a ground.

thanks for asking and choosing me via pm. makes me proud on my knowledge!

the ebay headlights are nice but the light output is not the best.
you can raise it with a HID kit (also from ebay) for the low beam.
don't forget: for HID you will need relay harness or you will destroy the multiswitch
check what kind of bulbs are in the low beam lense and buy the hid kit for that

here some little hints for you:

in this picture: replace the "high beam solenoid" with "high beam bulb" for your headlights!
AND: most relay harnesses are not wired correct. check that!
