oh what the hell...

Post by dvon17 » Fri May 18, 2012 1:38 am

I work @ a nursing home so you can imagine the kinds of crap that I deal with (that is, if you're familiar with nursing homes). Anyway, I sit at the front desk and answer phones all night. On occassions I have to deal with residents trying to walk right the hell out of here...like tonight.

This guy tried to escape, we (two CNA's, a guy from the kitchen and a nurse who came later, and myself) wouldn't let him (of course) and he started swinging on me WTF!I stood in front of the door to stop him from walking out. Granted he's like 1,000 and his hits didn't hurt but still...damn

then a nurse (the one I mentioned earlier) came to try and give him his meds and he threw the damn water on me. I'M JUST THE FUCKIN' RECEPTIONIST/SECURITY GUARD! damn!

I just got owned by someone's great great grandaddy hahaha.

got a few good licks on my left cheek too. Asshole. The Cna's just laughed... I should have let the deal with him alone lol.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.

I've had residents spit at me, try to bite me, hit me, kick me, scratch me, throw shit at me(literally and figuratively) yell at me, and a whole bunch of stuff. I liked dealing with people til I did that job.

The same guy did the same thing, again, two days later. This time he just slapped around the CNA's. Smh... and there's nothing they can do because the guy has dementia. All they can do is drug him (per doctor's orders) and take him back to his room.

I personally would HATE being a CNA. The thought of wiping GROWN shit off of another human alone is enough to keep me away. I'll change a baby's diaper all day long lol..

Today, while standing in line at Sears, an old man (had to be about 85+) just casually took a shit on himself while paying for his items. He had on pants so to see it just come creeping out of the bottom of his pants almost made me vomit all over the floor. The guy in front of me stepped in it :aargh:

Oh dear.. that truly sounds awful :/. To be harassed like that, and not really be able to do anything. Unfortunately, my maturity hasn't quite hit my age yet (I don't even know if I'm supposed to be mature at 20), and so I'd probably be one of the ones rolling around laughing.. unless I was in your position ;).

I work at a hotel, and while MOST people who check in are mentally stable, their attitudes are awful. Still, I'd rather be emotionally abused by them, than physically abused by seniors

Hey, maybe it was a little amusing. I just didn't like the idea of getting my ass kicked and there being nothing I could do about it ya know?

But, it's okay. I can understand why it happened and I'm mature enough to look past it. If anything, I was more upset at the fact that the CNA's decided it was best to laugh instead of doing what they were supposed to do in the first place. Taking control of the situation. Idiots. :tardbang:
