halo projector bulb size
Just wondering what size bulb I need when I order some halo projectors? modern performance gives you a lot of different size options. i plan to get hids too if that matters at all...
Thanks!
Thanks!

Everything from gaping holes in the back floor panel, to missing interior, from failing clutches, to having the clear coat applied before the paint, this car takes the cake as the worlds worst idea of a car.

yeah I'm running HIDs. I had to do the fog fuse rewire, because whenever I would turn on the car, the HIDs would turn on too because of our laws down here. So now when ever I want my HIDs (lows) on, I just turn on the fogs
everything else still works the same way, just the headlight and fogs was switch around

Some HID bulbs require some work to fit into the housing.. just so you know... H1 here as well...
took 5 minutes each side to get them to fit in

be sure to post up pics cause this is something i'd be interested in doing. question though when you put your highs on with the halo projectors do the hids stay lit or do they turn off?Caraudioholic24 wrote:I'm retrofitting in acura mdx projectors in my halo headlights. Always loved the look of the headlights but the output wasn't the greatest...u would go hid with them for the best output...

I think if you have the right projectors and wire it right the projectors do the hi beams as well. Instead of the nice fine beam of light it shines a lot higher. Idk if that makes sense its kinda hard to explain. Look at the thread "fxr 3.0 retrofit" under "exterior". It's really cool

I am aware of that...I'm doing a set of retros with those right now
I meant for lamps like the Depo projectors that use two separate bulbs. While the standard bulb (non HID) is still used for high beam, the low beam (HID) should stay lit. Normally the low beam bulb would go out when the high beams were activated.
Now, if you are doing a single bulb build, you will need to work the high beam into that lamp as well. Either with a motorized bulb or a motorized shrouded projector.

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

That how-to goes into vacuforming as well. It isn't mandatory to do the vacuforming with the new assortment of shrouds available now, but it's still pretty cool.
