Trunk weather stripping

Post by bobneon2k » Wed May 23, 2012 5:12 pm

Does anyone know where I can buy new trunk weather stripping for my 2000 neon? I am avoiding the stealership at all costs because dealing with them always costs. I found some for an srt-4 on ebay but I don't know if that will fit or if it is enough length. any info would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The SRT and your Neon are the same sheetmetal wise. If you are replacing it because the trunk gets water in it, it is more likely that the tail light seals need to be replaced. 9 times out of 10.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

no you have to take the taillights off with the foam piece and then apply silicon around any area on the foam that contacts the paint. thats how you stop the water from coming in.
