So i've deicded i've had enough with my lowering springs because the ride is awful and the drive to my work is littered with potholes which makes driving my gorgeous neon a terrible experience.
so ive been looking around and have found MOOG do a ready assembled strut / spring ...
like this
Now i've got a good impression of MOOG so far, i have their trackrod ends and front and rear endlinks but has anyone experience of their suspension parts like these, id like to know before i spalsh the £ / $
there are other makes of ready made strut / springs such as Raybestos / Leacree but im not too sure about these lesser know makes
including delivery to UK and tax etc they are about $215 each which is about 3/4 of the price of BCs so do i just save the extra and get the BC coilovers or should i invest in some of these to go back to 'standard'
also i notice there are 2 variants of BC's ... for "regular neon" or for SRT (G-02 or G-03 i believe) but which is better ?
maybe the regular neon ones dont have rear sway bar fittings?

good choice!
raise it and keep it on 0 for a nice ride, or slammer that bitch and put it on 32 for some fun.

They're about as soft as a sharp stick in the groin...
BC's have very stiff springs; they are not floaty or soft in any respect. This, however, allows them a wide range of adjustment (think slammed) while keeping the tire safe, and also giving the car a 'sporty' feel.
I don't ever put my damping adjustments on the two extremes (0 and 32). I go back and forth from 2 front - 7 rear, to 15 front - 20 rear. The softer settings don't hurt
as much as the higher settings, but it doesn't work miracles.

You won't bottom out. The only time I bottomed out was when I had the tire tucked and the damping on 5. The springs are just stiffer than most, and the strut isn't perfectly matched to the neon chassis causing the ride to be more rough. Once you hit your first big bump you'll know what I mean. The feel of the suspension makes up for it in my eyes though. Who the hell needs a spine?

Uhhhh... as far as I'm aware, the BC coils are exactly the same for all 00-05 models...

I'm pretty sure they're the same.. I know mine came off an srt4 but I doubt there's a difference.
I have mine low, not slammed, but lower than lowering springs go. I've yet to bottom out while driving on the roads
rough driveways/entrances are another story

You can always email them and ask for lighter spring rates than they come with.

So many neons so little time.

Just had a call from BC-UK and they said there's been a mistake.
The BR coilovers are not available over here due to no demand and the only ones they have for the neon is the V1 kit.
I found no info on here about a V1 kit ... But ... Judging by the pictures they are the same as the Megans, with red top mounts
And theyre a bit cheaper,
Still worth getting based on previous comments regarding bottoming out, rear sway bar etc?

I run mine on 8 in front and 5 inback for daily and set to 16/24 for auto-x. No science behind that, just what I do. Trying to figure out proper settings for auto-x and go from there
I also have full prothane bushing set and hotchkis sway set (rear bar on firm) so that stiffens things up as well.
