Look what I got today!

Post by Sykora » Fri Jun 08, 2012 12:44 am

So after ages, I finally tracked down and bought the rest of my lip kit. (I've updated the Lip Kit thread) Unfortunately, the kit is silver and I'll need to paint it. Before, I had my uncle do the skirts since I was in town, but don't want to ship these 2 times.

So does anyone have any suggestions for paint places or ideas of costs. Some I spoke to said $3-400 for both pieces. Since they're small pieces, would Maaco be a good bet, since they give a lifetime warranty?

After you get them painted and mounted, you need to drive back to Indy to show us.

The dude said that was it, plenty of red and black though. What'd you do for painting yours? How much did you spend, if I may ask?

Oh I misread that. Sucks they don't come in e-blue. :p Do you think it'd be bad to take it to Maaco?

It's only worth taking to Maaco if you absolulely 100% prep it properly.

You mean sand and primer it? I was wondering if I'd have to do that myself or if they'd do that.

Primer I THINK they do that. OR it's just "single-stage" paint. You have to sand it yourself. Leave a high spot or imperfection? They don't care. They spray what they're given.
