Okay guys.
So I replaced the lower torque strut engine mount and the car starts great now. The key thing is good now.
But, recently when I go to slow down quick or put my car into park my engine or trany makes an odd buzzing noise??? What's this? And is it bad? How's it fixed???

I don't know what this is, but it doesn't sound very good.thisdieingdream1 wrote: But, recently when I go to slow down quick or put my car into park my engine or trany makes an odd buzzing noise??? What's this? And is it bad? How's it fixed???
It sounds like it may be trans-related.
Are there any other 'symptoms' that occur, along with the buzzing noise ?
Any difference in shifting, etc. ? What happens if you put it back into drive ?
And then back into park again ? <-(not with the car moving, of course.)

4 speed ATX? Perfectly normal.
The buzzing noise is the PCM using pulse width modulation on the solenoid pack to create a softer engagement/disengagement of the clutch packs when shifting into drive, or coming to a stop. This is a feature they added over the years, but likely before the 41te/40te was used in neons. It is mostly noticeable in Caravans.
IDK if the '02 neons had that feature or not.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Well, it only buzzes sometimes when I come to a quick stop. After I've stopped it goes away. Id say from about 10mph to 0 is when I hear it.
As for shifting into park...it buzzes when iit shifts hard into park, the hole car jerks a little. But seems fine when shifting back in drive or rev. But if I put the car into neutral and let it drift to a stop when im parking it, it shifts beautifully.
I believe I've told you all that sometimes when I slow down at a stop sign but don't stop completly or a red light that's turned green or better yet rush hour traffic, my car seems to be in 1st gear and when I step on the gas it slamms into the next gear. Makes me hurt when it happens...=(

Thanks for the info, Bill.occasional demons wrote:4 speed ATX? Perfectly normal.

I haven't owned a 4-spd.ATX, so I wasn't aware of this.
