Yep, as long as it functions, it's more important than looks. Besides like I said, unless you get the pre molded hose it will be a pain to keep it from kinking. You don't need that on a booster hose.
For hardlines you can run just the rubber hose like Danteneon if the tubes did rust through.
Or go all out, and get creative.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Heater hard lines EJ.
Yep, copper tube. The sweat fittings, anyone could do with a hacksaw/tube cutter (preferred) solder, soldering paste (acid) and a propane torch.
Its those other bends I made you might not have much luck with, unless you have a 5/8" od pipe bender.
It could all be done with sweat fittings/straight tubing, but unless you can find some decent pricing besides HD or Lowe's it could get pricey. But still much cheaper than $235.00
That is for a 1gn DOHC, which I was having no luck finding used, and it is not available new. I couldn't move forward with my project neon, until I had fabbed it up, so I could bolt on the IM.
Edit: Oh yeah, the only place I could find that stocked 1/2 sweat x 3/8 NPT female was Lowe's.
For the rubber hose nipples I went with Dorman 56120 /AutoZone pn 500-001.1 $3.49 each about $3 cheaper each than Advance, $1 cheapr than Summit Racing.
