CAR DIES when you press in the clutch!!!

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

Well first thing is to figure out why the speedo isn't working.

Plus put your year/engine (could be swapped) and transaxle in your sig. Makes it easier to see what you have for future posts, and you don't have to explain every time.

Obviously from your post you do have an MTX.

The IAC keeps the engine idling at/near 1000 rpm while in motion, it does vary with speed. But since you have no speed input, the PCM does not know it is in motion, and is not kicking up the RPM. While it should not stall when the clutch is pushed, it might be part of the issue. It should idle between 600 to 800, with 750 to 800 being the spec. But these things rarely idle where they should.

For some reason, my guess is the IAC motor is either sticking, or just not working.

Depending on your year, depends on what type of IAC you have.

Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.
