An update, a good one.

Post by heyybaker » Mon Jul 02, 2012 7:12 pm

For those who don't have me added on Facebook, the insurance company finally deemed my car a total loss. And, without speaking with an adjuster or ANYONE, they placed the value of my car $5,150 AFTER my deductible. I paid $3,500 for it and after I pay off what I owe on it, I will have $2,500 for a new car.. hopefully, a new Neon. I wish I could have it by Friday but I will still definitely be there. I'm very surprised I did not have to convince them my car was worth that much and it seems I'm finally breaking out of my bad luck spell, cross my fingers.

See you all there :)!

You forget to what they value at is not a what they sell for price you would spent forever trying to sell it for what you got and for what you can get on the forums and other channels i can find a srt swapped 1gn or 2gn for around 5 k-6k

glad it worked out without big drama they paid out 7500 for my 05 with 70k on it when i totalled it i would of never gotten that if i tried to sell it for 7k

I'm happy that you have found a buyer. I still want heyybaker to be back in a Neon though- maybe something else will turn up at Carlisle?

Thanks all! I have a few Neons in mind, just want to get the right one :). I like everything about Hagan's car except the color, and yes, I'm super bratty and picky about color. Silver, green, and gold are three colors I don't like on a car... no clue why, just don't. I do like grey, though :p.

Meh, I hate silver. Still have a silver neon.

Usually cars that are a color I hate, last forever to spite me.

But now it is the standard neon love hate relationship. It tries to spend my money, I torture it by making it use it's old parts again. :D

Haha, don't know if I could complain still though if it lasted forever.. I usually end up having to finance things despite these two lovely jobs of mine and my biggest worry is the car going kaput on me while I still have a bunch of payments left .

STILL looking for ,y perfect Neon within a 50 mile range of me (since no car we currently have could probably make it much farther..) :(

Keep looking--Craigslist, although shady, turns up gems every once in awhile...that's how we found mine - mint condition hidden in VA. I'll cross my fingers for you.
