Putting too much oil can cause your oil to froth which can cause issues with bearings. So that is a bad idea. Only way to fix it is go through the motor and any parts that have more play or tolerance then others should be replaced. For example if one has piston slap you could pull the old pistons and hone and bore the block .020 over. Then get new pistons for that bore and install. Proper break in will help avoid piston slap. For valve train you can mess with the rockers. If they are too loose then replace. Also weak or softer valve springs can cause valve train noise. Upgrade to some BC or crane springs.
Anyways that is the proper way to fix the problem...

Just tell them you have a Slant Six under there.
Drivetrain/Powertrain Meh. A bad TOB/syncro rattle could sound like a bowl of marbles too
True forged pistons won't help with engine noise, until they warm up.
Hypereutectic would be a better choice if you are concerned about noise.
(Since this is a thread about noise)

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

They may be noisy, but they will run, like, forever.
So will Neon 2.0's, if taken care of properly.

I think it's Funny to hear friends who buy a used neon that has been neglected. They always say how much money they have to sink in it and how it's a money put. My usual reaction is "you bought a 15 year old car that has never been maintained properly. If you can't handle that truth you should go buy a new car and have a $300+ payment plus maintenance fees."
