From what I have read, the general consensus is maybe a crane 14 or comp 400 cam is highest recommended cam with mag springs?
Has anyone actually ran a 05 or 07 big cam or simliar on these springs? If so, was there any actual problems like excessive float or broken springs etc?

yeah, I know what you mean. I guess I was just trying to use as much as possible of what I currently have.... (limited project car budget).
I wasn't even considering the whole interference engine aspect, and that all my work could be wiped out if I drop a valve from pushing the limits of the mag springs. good call.
looks like I will be investing in some peace of mind if nothing else and just buy the crane's.
