There were a couple A4's over on Audizine that wrapped their cars in stuff like this. It looked ok, but it took a lot longer than one day, and took some serious patience. One guy eventually had a shop do it because of the bubbles.

That Porsche doesn't look right to me. Seems a little 'off'. If these pictures ARE real, the cars in those pictures were most likely professionally done; not your average backyard wrap job.

Well obviously the company that makes this did it themselves ... but reading more about it on the site ... it does not seem very difficult to do ... plus there are a few little tricks when applying this stuff ...

get some spray on foam glass cleaner. Spray it down over the area your putting it on ... the lay the cover down and line it up ... the glass cleaner keeps it from bonding until you get it all out. Then start from the center and use a rubber squeegy it all out from the center to the outside. It will pull out all the bubbles as you do it and then you can use the heat to bond it completely. Same technique I use when doing window tint.

I would also say for someone who has never done it before ... try with a few practice things first to get used to it before you try on your car.

If you remember my LE, the orange vinyl and black roof I did myself for trying it, originally she´s silver.
I was trying to apply the vinyl either dry and other parts with a mixture of cleaner and water. It depends on the parts you actually try to do. So a bumper is a lot more difficult and IMHO should be done dry, whole smooth surfaces like hoods and roof could be done with spraying it better.
By the way the foam keeps the vinyl from bonding finally 100%. They say it´s a parting compound which helps to remove the vinyl easier once if needed.
At best if one likes to try a car wrap - he should do it with one or better two or more helpers as long as he has to explore this kind of work.
The helpers should pull the vinyl as much as needed and one is applying heat from a heat gun to the vinyl.
There are lots of videos on youtube a.s.o.
At least it´s like mjrpaine says and furthermore little bubbles will diffuse after a few days until a few weeks.

My black roof looks terribly worn after less than three years now.
More than 80% of the vinyl-surface has gone dead meanwhile. I believe it comes from the sun/ uv. The frames of the doors I did a year later, but they´re looking particularly the same on top (so near the roof) as well.

If you can, try to find a vinyl where you can make sure it´s stable
for a long time.
My orange looks a lot better ( so the hood does) and it´s on for two years now, too. It´s a different brand than the black one is.

Different vinyls have different features. The black one was a bit harder and so easier to apply sometimes, but it broke down quicker. The orange one was a lot softer but sometimes felt like a huuuuge bubblegum, esp. when applying on a hot summerday.
But it does not depend on the colour, just on the brand and type you use.

At best try to get some samples and try to apply them on difficult surfaces and over rough edges.
