I've had my Dynomax for just about 7 years now. The outer shell is starting to separate from the inner. I kept it clean, didn't do a lot of winter driving, and there is not a lot of miles on it...25K or so. So yeah, these aren't the longest lasting mufflers out there

Where I to do it again (and I am sort of), I would go with stainless steel. The extra money is worth it.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Walker's are made by dynomax. It will probably sound okay, but the thing is, to get the best option, you wont be using a direct fit setup. If you want the dual RT exhaust look, or the SRT look, you'll need to get a camaro muffler and have a shop (or a buddy that is good with a welder) weld it up for you. I have a friend that got a job at the best exhaust shop in MD so I always go to him for exhaust stuff.

Any straight through design is going to be a little louder than, say a factory R/T muffler.

Chambered mufflers with no sound absorbing material are going to be loud. (Flow Master, Spin Tec, etc.)

Even the Walker QuietFlow I have is loud by it self. I had a resonator installed in the mid pipe to make it a bit more civil. The thing to remember, is the Camaro muffler is designed for a much larger displacement engine. The flow velocity of a 2.0 or 2.4 isn't quite enough to match that of a larger V6, or V8. So the muffler may be a bit louder with the 4 cylinder.

As an example, I had a Flow Master 70 series muffler on my Jeep. It wasn't extremely loud with the 4.0. I mocked it up on the neon in the drive way just to see if it was something worth making work. It was as loud as the open mid pipe, if not louder. Scrapped that idea.

Finding a muffler that has a nice low rumble, that isn't ricey sounding is not a simple task. What some say isn't loud, is strictly their opinion. You have ppl saying the SRT rear section by itself isn't loud. Obviously your opinion is the opposite.

About the only option you have, is to put a decent chambered muffler in the oem location, and add real resonators to the mid section, until you get it down to a level you like.

The resonator I have is less than 12" long, and made more of a change than I thought it would. Beats the hell out of a 32" glass pack.

When cruising, my exhaust is nearly as quiet as stock. It gets fairly loud when hammered, and especially in the peak torque curve. But a good portion of that noise is also from the 60mm hole of my TB.

For light throttle cruising, it doesn't get noticeable in the cabin until 70 mph plus.

i had 2.5 dynomax piping, dynomax camaro muffler and 2 moroso spiralflows in the midpipe and it was WAY too quiet... leave the resonators out and it sounds decent. maybe just a long glasspack instead.
