looking to do a wire tuck
looking to do a wire tuck
pretty soon im going to be pulling my motor and i want to do a wire tuck. i kinda know where to put the pdc and ecu but i want to keep my a/c but i dont where to put it any ideas?
I'm not sure I get you. The location for relocating the PDC and PCM is your call. You can put them in the trunk if you want too. I'm assuming you know about increasing wire gauge to compensate for voltage drop that is associated with the greater signal distance. Minor changes in wire length shouldn't require that though.
As far as the A/C goes, what is your question? The only thing you can do tuck-wise is have custom lines made that run down along the apron area instead of on top. That would be pricey.

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

The evaporator is already hidden. It sits in a box under the dash. Do you mean the condenser? That is the part sitting in front of the radiator. Seems pretty silly to try and hide that since the radiator will still be sitting there.

That would be your receiver dryer. There was certain years that mounted the R/D on the firewall, so if you changed all the lines over to that design, I guess you could. It still doesn't hide it though.
The best way to tuck A/C is to remove it.

If you want to get into the expense of custom made lines, you can put it anywhere you like. Keep in mind that the compressor is still going to be hanging out on the front of the engine. If you have the lines made so they stay low, you might not see them right off. The h-block is still mounted at the firewall, so your lines will be visible there too.
