Top hat removal: coilover style

Post by NyNeon0813 » Sat Sep 15, 2012 7:38 pm

So I just got the dust boots for my ksports, problem is I don't kno how to get the nut that holds the tophat on off.. The only way I can think would b to put an allen key in where u adjust the damping, and use that to try to hold the strut to get the nut off, BUT I really dont want to do that bc i have a feeling it will not work and mess something up. Anyone with coilovers have this problem? Any ideas?

I got it, I just held onto it best I could and hit the socket wrench with a rubber hammer a couple times and finally was able to crack the nut loose on all of them
