magnum header install

Post by half_twisted » Sun Jan 29, 2006 3:35 am

i just got my magnum header in and wanted to install it this saturday but as i was getting into it and started to unbolt my stock header i noticed that it had the o2 sensore bolted on the side of the header. then i started to go back in my head to the moments i was admiring my new header and didnt remember seeing a bung for the o2 sensore. pulled out the mag header and i was right. now what do i do. im stuck with a mag header, hopes and dreams. a friend sd that since i had two o2 sensore i could do fine with out one. i dont think so...
can i just bolt it on and bolt the o2 sensore right after the mag header..

i need some help pls.

as long as one is before the cat and one after the cat, you should be good to go.

if you need to plug it.... hit up an exhaust shop as they should be able to provide something to close up that hole if need be

for the mag header, they had there first bung bung on the downpipe before the cat and the 2nd one right after the cat on the same pipe. just take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld in an 02 bung at the collector for about 50bucks.

50 is too much, ive had 2 bungs welded in different pipes and was charged $25-$30..

and correct the mag header has no 02 bung. they are in the mag downpipe (catpipe) 1 before the cat and 1 after the cat.

well what i might end up doing is bolting on the mag header and have a shop weld a bung on the down pipe right after the mag header and before the cat.

hey... how did this header install go... is the stock downpipe long enough to work perfectly with the mag header? ive heard rumors that the mag downpipe is a tad shorter then the stock one...

Price reflects where you are. It might be more expensive where he's from. I know for SURE that it's way expensive over here. You don't even wanna know the prices I was given lol.
