This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

Never heard of them. A link would be helpful, but you have to decide if you want to risk getting it or not. There is good and bad with Ebay stuff like anything else. Just remember most times if it seems too good to be true...

(with Brand new stuff) There are some occasional smokin' deals on used things...

other seller might claim their product is full T-304 stainless steel ,but the truth is they are actually selling a metal made exhaust with polish finish and made you think you are buying a stainless steel exhaust.

Um, Ok....
UP TO 15 HORSEPOWER INCREASE
And who's lying now? Oh right "Up to" which means zero to 15 hp increase.

But for $250 OBO, it probably isn't a horrible deal. Considering it is a simple bolt on... Tho I can't tell if the cat hook up has an integral clamp, or if there is one even supplied. I wouldn't use a crush type U clamp, but a band style clamp.

With no other mods, a 2.5 inch system might take away a bit of your low to midrange RPM power.

The ebay exhausts tend to be pretty decent for the price. Don't expect them to last 10 years, but they do the job and usually sound pretty decent. NEVER go by a part's advertised potential gains, especially on ebay.

From the cat to the rear "axle" it will fit. Then you need to break out the welder.

I have an srs exhaust on my car now. I've had for 4yrs now and the stainless steel still looks good, there wasn't any fitment issues when installed bolted right up. It sounds pretty good, I get compliments on how the car sounds all the time.

Bad thing is its loud as :cussing: lol, ur not sneaking up on anybody. And theirs no real hp pick up either, but it does flow pretty good thou.

Never let anyone tell you that you can't. The only reason why people say that, is because someone told them they can't and they listened.

A Flowmaster will be loud regardless. There is only so much bouncing soudwaves around can do. Same thing for Spin Tech, etc.

If you want a mellower non raspy sound, you will need a chambered muffler, with some kind of sound absorbing wool.

There is just not enough flow from these engines to make the Flow master type muffles work like they should. I had a 70 seiers on my XJ, it wasn't bad. I mocked it up on the neon, and it was as loud if not louder than the open pipe.

Well then anything like a Flowmaster or Spin Tec will fit the bill.

The only things that you need to know is if it will fit in the allotted space, and if the inlet/outlet(s) match your needs.

Theres always this 2.5 exhaust. says for srt4 but will fit your 2nd gen. plus its only 140 rather than 200 like the one you were looking at. might be a bit louder but you can always add a resonator to the portion going through the tunnel.
