Which is better?

Post by Sparky828 » Mon Jan 30, 2006 10:15 pm

Hey guys i was wondering... say i dont have enough money to wire up the butterflies on a magnum intake manifold... Is it better to leave them out till i get it wired up or leave them in even though they dont open... i say this because i am goin to the track soon and would like to know which is better in these circumstances... by the way my car is a 2k es ATX with rmvb...

I couldnt say for sure, but Ive got a magnum intake thats not hooked up on my car. I noticed a little better bottom end over the plastic manifold but top end feels about the same.

I havent hooked mine up mostly because Im lazy and I dont plan on staying SOHC for much longer anyway.

Probably. But I dont imagine it to be any worse than with a stock plastic manifold. So you should be alright just leaving them in. No sense in opening everything up to remove them, just to put them back in later. Just run the risk of stripping holes and loosing parts in the mean time.
