Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Justin you going to have some sort of pre-carlisle thing this year??
You know I like to get to the hotel early so you should have the party a little earlier LOL

So how much money do I need to set aside for this?
I see the hotel is like $150 for 3 nights and $50 for the event. How much else do I need to set aside? It's right after the family vacation so I need to make sure I can afford it now before I guarantee anything.

Other than that all you got to spend money on is gas and food. So whatever you think thats going to cost you and thats it unless you buy stuff on the fairgrounds cause they do sell shirts and waxes etc.mopar2 wrote:So how much money do I need to set aside for this?

Realistically you are looking at ~$500 for travel and accommodations unless you can split a room with someone. (assuming 25mpg and 3.70 for gas, I always over estimate gas)mopar2 wrote:So how much money do I need to set aside for this?

Then there is beer, food, beer, water, beer and anything you may want to buy at the show (shirts, trinkets, etc.). We cook a lot of hot dogs and burgers that are available to members over Friday and Saturday. You can also bring your own, there's at least one grill that will be there. Pizza is provided on Saturday evening. If you really want to make the trip and need to watch the pennies, a loaf of bread and PB&J go a long ways.
Get in touch with EJ, Hudson Neon, as he has made the trip a lot from WI and can tell you a little better idea of what it takes.

I spent $500 easy last time, and that was driving from Ohio. But then I had a mouth to feed besides mine. And I didn't buy nearly enough stuff that I wanted to.
But yeah, $500 is a good place to start.
There are always those unexpected things that happen too. A credit card is a good back up plan. Just pray you don't need it.
Now if you lived around the corner from the fairgrounds...

come on man, it's literally 5 miles less than me. according to google maps i drive 1025 miles every year and you'd drive 1020 miles. i'd kill for the scenery you'd get on your trip. i used to drive from here to tavares, fl every spring and the scenery is way nicer than I-80... straight and flat for over 350 miles.C1DoG wrote:Too bad it is really far from me. as far as money goes, from hudson, wi... i plan for $350 in gas, with splitting a room, that's $75. that being said, i can do the trip to carlisle and back with $500. however i set aside anywhere from $600-700, just in case i see something that i like at a shop or at the swap. little shit adds up. one year i found prothane trans inserts for $10
yes...?occasional demons wrote: Now if you lived around the corner from the fairgrounds...

With the route that I take every year, I drive about 1,100 miles round trip (not counting miles between my motel and the Carlisle fairgrounds). C'mon and join us!
