V-tec controller and Magnum intake manifold

V-tec controller and Magnum intake manifold

I was wondering would jsut about any v-tec controler work to control the magnum intake manifold... is a relay still required for hookup? if one is how does a relay work and how would u hook it up...

It would be more expensive then doing the wot switch and the rpm switch

But that's not what he asked. I was also going to go with a VAFC to control my R/T intake, only because that way, I can also control fuel. I do believe you also need a relay, I plan to get all that shiz together once I get my AF/X-R... and hopefully by then I'll have some cash for the VAFC and other various parts I'll need.

I don't know how vtec controllers work, but all you need is something that will complete/activate a 12volt circuit at a set control point. If a vtec controller can do that, then yep, it'll work.

If he is using a xAFC then yes a relay is needed since it cannot handle high power loads (the MTV pulls 3+ amps). Using just the xAFC as a standalone to the MTV will fry it in a couple of seconds.
