Active intake switches installed

Post by quicksilvr » Tue Jan 31, 2006 11:29 pm

Here's a few pics of the switches. The MSD switch is zip tied to the battery sleeve. I decided that would be fine, because I'll always use a standard battery (just need an alternator ODP :?). The ZEX switch I mounted to the frame of the car. We just drilled and tapped some holes and then screwed it down with a little loc-tite on the screws to keep 'em there. The two relays got zip tied to the harness of the ECU, easy access, yet not too much in the way or ugly. Anyway, it looks pretty sweet, the pictures don't really show it off, cause I had to use the flash and that always ruins eveything (and makes it look really dirty). But, here they are.

Yeah, sure. My camera is charging right now, it died on me when I was uploading. I need some daytime pics anyway. I'll take some tomorrow. It just splices into one of the outside wires that goes to the coil. I forget which one...supposedly you can use either of the outside wires (there are three total, you just can't use the middle one). After identifing the functions in my FSM, I decided on one over the other, but I don't remember why, or which one right now.
