So is there anyone on here who lives in NE Illinois? I'm in Dekalb and in sore need of (relatively) local friends who also enjoy cars/Neons.

Meets are good but very unlikely to find someone local.

This thread isn't supposed to catch on fire with responses, I just figure there might be someone else out there thinking the same thing. I feel like the regional boards would be a bad place to ask such a question.

Nick, forgot what town you live in. I know Chuck is in WI. Does he still work at that machine shop in Richmond?

Yup, he's still with the same company, although he has changed locations.

I remember going up there and trading parts with him, picking up a shifter from him, etc. he brought me in the shop one time to show me how he was building them and everything, it was pretty cool. That was one of his first shifters when he first started. Think I sold it to Brad and used the stock shifter from his R/T to put in mine when I traded it in

I ended up hanging with NickKo, had a blast. Also, we cleaned my throttle body and I swear my car got 83240932840932840932840923840932843209 times more responsive. Starts up smoother, too.
