SRT 4 or at least 2gn coupe

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

SRT 4 or at least 2gn coupe

Post by 2002srt4 » Sat Feb 04, 2006 7:39 am

Just wanted to get some opinions on building a 2gn coupe. Before I get flamed understand that I've been thinking about this for several months and have some ideas in my head for how to do it. I realize it would be a huge undertaking but I can get several chassis to work with so its not that big of a deal. I'm just trying to see what some other people thought of it.

Thanks for the input guys. Like I said I'm finishing up my current project and then I'll start in on the coupe. I've also been thinking about trying to make a neon spyder if I get the coupe to work.

I have been pondering this idea some time now and i even went to do some scouting. I have noticed that it would be almost easier to do a hatch back like using a rear of a SI or matrix or even the focus. i can be done its just money and time is the issue. good luck and pics of this project is much needed.

x2...there is a jetta coupe in HCI this month, part of the article is a buildup of how they converted it to a couple...pretty interesting...w/ time and money, anything is possible :)

there used to be pics of a pre-production 2gn coupe floating around. it was white and black. the reason dcx didnt produce it was due to insurance cost to the costomers, and there were alot less 1gn coupes solded compared to 4-doors. the pic i saw of the 2gn was bad ass, I would have bought it if it came out!

Wow, thanks for the photoshops. I knew there were some on here but I couldn't find them. They really make me want to "git 'er done". I'll hopefully be able to start within the month.

It looks like they photoshopped it about how I was thinking about doing it. I figure it would need to have about a 2 inch shorter wheelbase. That way I could control the length of the door. If it was stock wheel base it would look goofy and the door would be super long. So far its looking like it could happen.
