Can a SPST relay be used on magnum manifold wiring?

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

If you're just wanting to use one switch, the RPM switch, you can just use one relay, but, I think it still needs to be a SPDT (single pole double throw). Sorry, that wasn't much help. Just buy one of each, cause they're cheap, and try both. That'll find out. :D

Here's a modified diagram that I just made that should be what you need to do for only using an RPM switch.

Do you have the packaging the relay came in? If so, then there should be a diagram with the numbers and meanings. I could number them for you if I had my diagram that I used for my car, but it's back at my parents house. I'll check it this next weekend when i'm there.

I can say that the connection that goes to the MTV needs to be on the normally open pin, and the other two need to connect to whatever the numbered pins are for powering the relay.
