Anybody know if the three jaw puller at advanced or autozone works on our underdrive pulley?

The one at advance does however you'll need to fab up a longer dowel

UDP, or stock damper?

I'm also assuming stock, but just in case...

On some cranks, the provided dowel does work, probably one of those short drilled cranks that the tool was designed off off.

I have read a longer 1/4" extension will also work. But like I've said, start pulling it with the provided dowel, then use the longer substitute. I have tried starting with a longer homemade rod, and it bent up like a pretzel.

I think I saw this on FB. But I used the one from Advance Auto, and also had to use a 1/4" extension. Worked just fine after that.

i used a long hardened 3/8" bolt and cut off the head and rounded it. just in case you dont have a 1/4 extension long enough

Another thing you can do:

I took my aftermarket, 'no-name brand' UDP, and drilled and tapped holes in it - so I could use a 3-leg 'steering wheel type' puller, to remove it.
Works great !!

If you do this, ^ you'll want to make sure you drill the holes *square*, and not cockeyed.
