amplified subs?
My factory system in the '05 SXT sounds decent....but I just want more bass (granted, the stockers put out some impressive sound....for stockers). Does anybody have an amplified subwoofer/s in their Neons? I just want some nice "filling" bass and save space. Let me know if you like them or not. Thanks!

if you just want a little bump in your trunk get a 10" with the same brand amp in a ported box. my stockers are fairly good, with the bass turn all the way up, they actually vibrated my rear view mirror.
was there any difference inbetween speakers? my stock 6x9s say premieum on the bottom of them.

^^ it depends in the music you listen to, but then again with the proper components and settings, you could have loud bass and clear sound at the same time.

I listen to rock and what not...really no rap anymore and I still use my 15" RF power punch.
I just put a 1500.1 PPI amp on it so it would keep it as crisp as a 15 can be. It works just fine. It's all in how you set it up.
As to something a little better than stock. What I have isn't an option.
For you, maybe one 10" infinity perfect would be fantastic. Keep it in a small box and it would be just fine for what you might be looking for.
IF you don't want something that big I would suggest dual 8". That would give you nice sound and a lot of options for your trunk.

Thats how mines setup... 3.5's in the dash w/ Bass Blockers, 6.5" 3 ways in the doors, and 4-way 6x9s in the back deck and a pair of 12" subs... subs are hooked up to a 1600watt mono amp, and the speakers to a 600w 4-channel amp, with proper tuning that ive done myselfdblsg wrote:^^ it depends in the music you listen to, but then again with the proper components and settings, you could have loud bass and clear sound at the same time.
Just make sure you set the cutoffs properly between amps so the bass stops at a cetrain range and your other speakers pickup where the subs leave off.
