steering wheel
So the 2002 steering wheel is 15 in in diameter... i like the honda civic 2010 steering wheel its smaller and 14 in wide and 13.5 high it feels a lot better ... does anyone know if it can be installed in a neon? or what other smaller steering wheels can be installed?

The hondas have a different spline hub so steering wheels are not interchangeable. There are very few cars that share the same spline as ours, can't remember what they are off the top of my head. I believe the viper steering wheel fits, but it's uber expensive and not much smaller in diameter.
The only real option is going aftermarket, but you lose the air bag and probably the horn function as well. I had the same idea back when I got my neon, that wheel is so damn big.

Just an FYI, since you pulled the driver's airbag, and the cluster bulb, the passenger and seat side, (if equipped) airbags will not work. If there is a fault in the system, the airbag module shuts the system down. Which means no airbag system functionality.

Yes. The airbag module constantly checks the resistance of the wiring, if it finds something out of the normal range, it will shut the system down to protect the system and against accidental deployment. In your case, it will see the open in the driver's airbag circuit, and shut the system down. The module cannot distinguish between faulty wiring and disconnected wiring. I just wanted to point that out so that you and others who read this will be aware of the potential consequences.NyNeon0813 wrote:huh i was unaware of that. so if the driver airbag is out the passenger side won't work?
Btw, i do like the wheel, it is nice.

You could wire a 2 ohm resistor to the drivers squib, and the system should work again, at least for any passenger's sake. Could probably just push the resistor's legs into the squib, provided the wire diameter is not too large, so it doesn't stretch the squib connector - making reinstall of the airbag require a replacement squib.
