Fob locks all doors but not unlock all doors

Post by Silver-Shadow » Fri Nov 15, 2013 10:38 pm

About a year or so ago I got my side mirrors replaced. They were painted to match the car. When I got the car back I hit the FOB to unlock the doors and all the doors didn't unlock. I tried it again same thing. I went back in and asked the painter what happened? He said they may have put the wiring back backwards when they put the new mirrors on. The mirrors were stock Neon side mirrors that fold.
He said to come back and he would take a look at it later. Well fast forward to now I don't live in that area any more. It was in San Jose. I live in socal now. Anyone know what the ??? this guy could have done to the side mirrors that would affect the key fob door lock and unlock? If I know the wiring scheme maybe I can go back in and change it back. thanks.

Do they all unlock with two presses of the button. If they do then you just need to set it to unlock all of them with one touch. Do the key dance four times then hit the unlock ( or lock, I can't remember) your car should ding and then it should work

rtfm - it's not a bug. it's a feature!
