I guess you saw my pics on facebook since I was the one that did it. The midpipe to muffler pipe is from rockauto for a 2gn neon and the adapter is just a standard adapter from the parts store. I can't remember the size but the I.D. On the one side was the same as the O.D. Of the other. I want to say 11/8" for some reason

Yep! I can't remember the part number for the adapter though  I just tried ones until I found the size that fit.

I'll just take this a step further and say this pipe should also allow you to fit any 1gn DOHC muffler as well.

The adapter p/n is not really a big deal.....
All the auto parts stores carry them. ( NAPA, AutoZone, Advance Auto, O'Reilly's, etc.)

Oftentimes, the adapters are 'over the counter', so customers can 'test fit' parts and see which one fits, for the application at hand.

Now THAT, would be Cool. 8)

I wonder how difficult it would be, to fit a 1st gen DOHC muffler on a 2000?? :)
I am in the middle of trying to finish an exhaust job on a 2000, I shall have to find out.... :D
