I'm about 125 miles away. Is that too far?

We have a Dayton meet coming up:

I'm good for moral support but that's about it (no mechanical skills, I'm afraid).

Just hold a meet in your garage. I'm sure some of us would come

Moral support is good too, I'll need lots of that lol Is the garage meet a joke or would that really work? Even if we didn't work on my car it would be cool to network and have a reason for a big bbq :) Plus it would be cool to see my end of the street full of neons :)

He was serious! I've never been to a Cincy meet so it would be another chance to meet up with everyone and have a nice road trip for my car.

Yeah I was super serious, its happened a few times in my garage with a few guys here when they need to do some work. Plus love done a 2gn 2.4 swap so I can lend more than moral support... I'll sit back and tell you when you're not doing it right!

Posting meet threads w-a-y in advance helps when you work crazy hours/days like I do. If you do decide on July, remember that Carlisle is the 11th through the 13th. :D

I'll remember, maybe I'll go :) My schedule (or lack thereof) makes it difficult to plan stuff really far in advance, I never know when I'll be working and I could end up anywhere in the country. I'm a boilermaker/ tube welder so when there's work I have to jump on it. While it stinks not having a set schedule it's pretty awesome that I make enough when I'm working to have weeks off and still be able to buy silly stuff and live comfortably. Plus I get to see a lot of the country and every day is different, waaay better than when I was chained to a table in a factory working my guts out for $14.90 ph after 5 years :)

Mine is just the opposite then- I knew before New Year's when I would be having time off this year. It's just difficult getting my days off to mesh with everyone else's when meets are posted on short notice. Plus, advance notice gives me enough time to get the car cleaned before the trip. I'll wait and see what you come up with then.
