delivery purchase wait time

Post by alton » Sat Feb 15, 2014 5:57 pm

I brought a part from a person on the forum on january 11. It has been a month now and no word on what is going on, nothing. I contacted him on the 24 of january and he said they will be sent out the first week in febuary. It is going on week three. No tracking number, no update, nothing. Why does the buyer has to be the one to contact the seller about the purchase. I may be out of 300 bucks.

Depends on where this other person is. If he is up north than you will have to wait until the storms are done. They are telling people not to go outside if you don't really have to. So you may not be out $$$, just may just need to be patient and wait.

Don't feel like an ass, this guy should be keeping you updated about the situation. You paid him money and he should do what he's supposed to do and ship it out.

How did you pay him? Paypal?

Well you only have 45 days to begin a claim. I would send them a message stating you will make a claim if they do not respond.

I agree good communication is very important. They got paid, the least they can do is keep you informed. Nothing like once the money is sent, they fall off the face of the earth.

It just amazes me, how when the tables are turned how chatty they become.

Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Bingo bango.

The weather sucks, but the weather doesn't affect shooting a message over (unless power is out).

In any case, don't let that PayPal time limit lapse for filing a claim, otherwise you will be out that money if the seller doesn't come through.

Who is the seller? PM me if you would rather.

 That was the wise thing to do. If it's too early to pay the claim under buyer protection plan, it's "already in the queue", and eBay will be "breathing down his neck" :D

It wasn't an ebay purchase, unless the forum member had it listed on ebay. If it had been an ebay purchase, I don't think we would be having this discussion.
