Post by 2002blackrt » Wed Feb 15, 2006 1:34 am

Just finished it today, i had no idea where to put this thing, and this was the best location i could find. I am still not sure if i like it tho. What do you think.

Not bad but it covers the controls. That was something I always kept in mind with my sirius starmate replay. If you can get really creative, maybe you can fashion something into the dash that will house this.

I think you should put it up higher in front of the vents. That way you can still access it, and you console controls easily.

I'd rather have my air vents slightly obstructed then my console controls and radio.

That was my first idea, and it looked wicked. But the only problem was, if i wedged the stand in between the vent and its housing, it popped the vent out everytime. I dont know if it is just mine or not, but they are touchy. Im not too crafty with the whole moulding it in the dash thing. I wish i was though. Im just lookin for another install so i have an idea on a better place to put it. Any advice, or pics would be appreciated.

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I wanted to do that with my Sirius receiver. OF COURSE it's about an inch too tight
