obx oil pan

Post by JRM » Wed Feb 22, 2006 8:39 pm

Found obx oil pan on ebay, said 95-99 neons. It looks to be a direct knock off of the moroso oil pans. Everything that i have read and found shows that all dodge 2.0 oil pans are the same.
Am I wrong to assume that this one will fit on my 2000? Dont want to buy it and it not work for my application.

Ask dawm. He's like Mister Owl with the cheap parts links.

Looks like a nicely welded piece. :)

obx pans have issues if i recall and need some modding. and i believe the moroso's had leak problems in the welds

just get a canton pan from vitor (neongoodies.com)

Moroso does have some probs with their welds as they didn't use very dense metal so the oil seeps through a little. Not a whole lot but enough to make the pan a little damp or leak a few drops. When you have 7.5 quarts of oil in the pan though one or two drops isn't much haha.

Dunno about OBX but Moroso did revise their pan from 1st gen 2nd gen so I dunno if a 1st gen would fit just right.
