srt-4 sub

Post by apk2k6 » Sat Feb 25, 2006 10:11 am

I'm thinking about getting an srt-4 sub (10") that is on ebay with the box and amp it comes with stock. Where does this sub fit on the srt-4, it is concealed nicely somewhere? If so, can it be put in my SE in the same place? Thanks

the sub fits right inbetween the wheel well and the taillights. and yes it will/can be put in the same place as the SRT4 has it.

Read the threads posted about it on here... Some say it's not worth the money.

thx bro for that link, I was just interested in something that wouldn't take up lots of space and looks good.

I just want something that will give me a little bump, but I'm more interested in the highs, I don't want my trunk rattling and to hear the bass over the words, would 1 10" be good or 1 12"? I know the amp is very important in providing a good system, please help me out. Thanks

Edit: As of now, I could get the srt kicker sub for $50 shipped. 5 days left though, I'm sure it will go up.

I have the kicker system in my car, and it sounds great. If you leave the passenger side rear seat down you will get all the bass you need.

I had the kicker system in mine... i got rid of it after two weeks...

you could probably get the same sound of the kicker sub from a good pair of 6x9's, thats how much it sucks

So what would be good for a little thump, so if I turn my music up, the bass wont be fuzzy(I know I'm going to need door speakers/tweeters/headunit as well), I'm thinking 2 10's or a 12? I don't it to where the bass is all you can hear, thanks.

O ya I want it to look clean as well, are there any boxes that are custom made to fit a neon?

do you just want the sub for a little more bass? if that just get 2 10"S or even 1 of them. you can run subs off your stock headunit like what im going to do.

heres the q logic box for a 10"

Just go out and buy a Pyramid 10" sub, buy a Pyramid 800w amplifier, and build yourself a small square sealed box. If you're running off of a stock deck, be aware that the quality isn't going to be great, but you can get a line-out converter (if the amp doesn't have one) and you'll have a nice sounding setup with a decent bump for less than $150.

Small, cheap, effective solution.

I have the Wallyworld 1x10" sub, and box, and the cheapo 200 watt amp.... Which, I might add, with a panasonic HU dosen't sound half bad!!!!

It's soon to be replaced with something better I PROMISE!!!

BTW: I just got the "ALL CAPS" warning.. It's awesome!

please please please dont buy cheap stuff. Get nice equipment and it will last a lot longer.

I run 1 diamond audio 10" and a pair of polk components. All this running off 1 hifonics amp. Takes up little space and sounds wounderful. Great for rock. Bass is crisp and tight. None of that loud booming crap.
