stay with Goldlines?

Post by jonnymopar » Mon Feb 27, 2006 7:39 pm

I have a set of Goldline springs on my car right now on stock struts. I want to go with the Tokico blues instead. I just saw the package deal with Tokico struts/springs on eBay for $378 free shipping. Should I go with that or are the Goldlines a good spring?

I ask because I bought my car with those springs and I don't know if I like them or not. Just trying to get people's input.

Lowering springs on stock struts are a no-no unless they are the Mopar Stage 1's or SRT-4 springs. You will be able to do it, but like I said before, anything lowering your car over 1.2'' will damage stock struts very quickly. I got that Tokico package on eBay. I will be putting them on at my friends friend garage. This Sunday. So I will let you know how everything turns out. If you ahve extra money laying around do it. But if your stock struts haven't blown yet and the ride is good, then just stay with your Goldlines dude.

Oh hell yeah I know you shouldn't lower on stock struts. I bought the car this way. The Tokico struts are definitely going on my car, all I'm trying to decide is whether I want to transfer the Goldlines over to the new Tokico's or just go with a whole new package. I've heard alot of mixed opinions on Goldlines, but haven't heard much at all about Tokico springs, just the struts. Thanks for the input and thanks in advance for anyone else that posts here.

I guess anything that lowers your car will put excess wear on your stock struts. My rear struts are slowly leaking and thats with stock springs.

Haven't seen anyone on the boards with them, but maybe I am wrong. If I am not then I guess I am going to be the first ones with them.
