I'm not sure, I'll let everyone know the differences in drivability when they are on the car in a few weeks. It'll be way different though cuz I'll have the Sportlines, ACR struts, camber kit, and the new sways installed, practically a new car. :D

this will sound noobish but do all of our cars have sway bars? Or do I have to change my struts?

It depends on your model. R/T's and ACR and SRT-4's come with th sways (definately) As far as ES, SXT, S, or whatever, only some did. I am sure you will get a more knowledgable response soon. :)

Dawm, it depends. You say drifting which usualy means oversteer. If your rear bar is stiff as crazy, youll oversteer. Right now, if i change lanes too fast, my back end comes out on me (scared the shit out of me, but its cool!)

Adding a larger front bar will give you better handling, but might make it feel like you have more understeering. Adding a rear bar to a car that doesnt have one really helps balance when you turn, ridding of a lot of understeer. Going all out with both gives you AWESOME rotation as Grambo will soon learn!

Adding a rear strut tower bar will help give a bit of oversteer too. Front bars seem to be pretty worthless (seems like several good auto-Xers will agree with me on that). But the best money and time spent is on sway bars, not strut tower bars.

Alot of that has to do with tires dude. I know you know that, but those stockers almost killed me cuz they would grip, grip, grip, letGO!!! liek I was on ice.

Understeer is when you "plow". Basicly, as you turn into a corner hard, it starts to go straight instead of into the turn. So your front end isnt gripping like it should. Oversteer is where your rear end will slide out.

It also has a lot to do with acceloration/breaking. If you are in nuterual basicly and go around a corner, youll find out real quick which one you got ;) Adding throttle to the mix will put understeer in place... breaks seem to do its own thing. Havnt quite figured that out. Can understeer or oversteer.

tire preasure also makes a differance. Tires with less preasure seem to give out easier. So if you want to get your rear and loosened a bit to oversteer, let off a good 3-5 PSI more out than your fronts.

*Update*
The sways are on and they KICK ROYAL ASS!!!! The car is like a friggin razor iin the twisty hills. haven't done much freeway driving yet.
The City streets are SUPER fun. NO plowing yet as I haven't played in the wet. The crazy torque steer has lessened a bit too.
dawm = buy these and be happy dude.........

Hey dawm, would you be willing to provide more specifics on the "ACR alignment". I've usually gone with 1.5 on the camber (R) and 1.25 (F) and dead-nuts straight on the toe cuz its not a track car.
Dude, anyone on this MB would absolutely LOVE the Hotchkis sway bars, its a whole different realm of handliing compared to stock. :D :D :D :D

^^^ Hotchkis hands down. The differance is AMAZING and makes the car more fun all the time. the AFX computer just makes it fun when acceloration is at play :D You can change lanes like a farrari with the hotchkis... sorta! ;)

Damn you all. I bought the Hotchkis bars last week and they are sitting here begging for me to put them on.

That will have to wait till at least tomorrow though, since it has been raing the past 2 days and the car is soaked. I can not wait though!!

***one more thing. what is the actually difference between the street setting an the race setting on the rear bar?

Race = more oversteer. With my setup on street setting, i oversteer plenty. Have not even tried the race setting (Its a bitch to change over, so until i hit my first Auto-X even this year, i wont bother)
