Life after Neon...enter the Hemi.

Post by JeremyJ » Wed Mar 22, 2006 1:48 am

Here was my old car (I'll miss it):

Here is what I'm driving now...

It's an '03 single cab, short bed, 2WD Dodge Ram...with a Hemi. I've lowered it 2" in the front and 5" in the rear. It came with a flowmaster and a K&N intake installed. It's quite a fun truck. For less than a grand in engine mods, this 4800 lb truck will run high 13's in the quarter. Not bad for a pickup.

Nope, you're right. I'll never take you guys for granted again.

As for the truck looking "bland"...I just got it. Give me a few months and it'll look better. However, it will never be flashy.

I'm not feeling the black wheels with those tires. If you're going to drop a truck, you gotta' throw at least some 18's on it. :) Looks a little silly, but it could just be me.

Looks good Jeremy, I've always like the Rams. Next time you see me, you'll have to catch up and say Hi.

At some point in the not to distant future I'd like to make a post with the same title. Although I'm aiming for a Hemi in a 300C.

It's good to hear that you are enjoying the truck. I always looked for you neon at Good Chevrolet when I when past but never saw it.

Yeah, I want a 300C like none other, but payments would be a little high...as in higher than my rent. The Neon has been spotted in Monroe. I'm pretty sure they sold it right after I traded it in. I give it a month and it'll probably be either wrecked, or covered with stickers and chrome tails (ruined).

As for the wheels, here is what I really want for it:
Image
22x8.5 in the front and 22x10 in the rear. As soon as you guys help me raise $6000 I'll upgrade the wheels and tires to these. Until then, the 17x9's are staying put.

See and I could even make a post about dream rims too. I also what a black faced rim with a polished lip on my future 300C.

Also, if your old neon does get wrecked or riced then I definately hope I don't see it. It would be such a shame to see a nice 2gn go to waste like that.

The stock 20's with tires weigh in at over 85lbs a piece. No thanks.

You could get a workout by rotating your own tires!

Your car was awesome, both looks and performance. Too bad it had to go, but that's life. The truck looks great now, I like the basic look. And those wheels (if you end up with them) will look sick. They've got a great deep lip on them. It's funny, I'm happy when I do a mod to my car, and can feel a difference in power....and then I drive my grandpa's 300C Hemi. And I think to myself... what a wonderful lack of power my neon produces. I would love to always hold on to my silver neon and keep her as a hobby car, with a Hemi Ram as a daily driver, but we'll see.

No way. I know they are heavy but I can't see them being 85 lbs a piece. That would mean with tires the would be damn near 125 lbs...

 Read what you just quoted............
