'03+ Custom Vinyl Eyelids (Now in more colors!)

Post by 03sxt » Thu Mar 23, 2006 8:44 am

Due to the success of the first few pairs (of matte black) that I've made of the custom eyelids, I'm going to start selling more and I'm now going to feature them in other colors.

On with the info... Here's what they look like in the matte black. Please note that I am out of matte black at the moment, but I will have some again soon.

Colors available: Gloss Black, White, Silver, Midnight Blue, Cherry Red, Burgundy, Orange, Bright Yellow
(Colors are shown below)

Pricing and Shipping: Vinyl eyelids in the colors listed above are $15.00. For carbon fiber vinyl, or reflective vinyl, please add an additional $5. Shipping & handling is a flat rate of $5. All orders will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail - Transit time is normally 3-5 business days. Please note that orders may take up to one week to be filled.

I'll be taking orders for the next week or so to make sure that I have enough vinyl material and to gauge how much extra I may need. If you would like eyelids made in a color that's not listed, just ask and I should be able to get it without a problem. I may have to wait for others to join in with that color as well, to help cover the initial cost of the roll of vinyl.

Payments should be made by PayPal to eyelids@highbrowmedia.com. Money Orders are also accepted. PM me for my mailing address if you'd like to pay with that method.

If you are concerned about my reliability, you can check out my 100% positive feedback on eBay by clicking here. If you have any other questions, please ask.

Exactly how close is the Burgundy to the color of your car? (mine's the same color)

To be 100% honest, I'm not sure on how close the match is - I'm still waiting for the vinyl to come in the mail. I have the matte black ones on mine and they look pretty nice with the scheme I have going.

I appreciate your concern for others, but these aren't that hard to install unless you're a complete idiot. :) These only took me about 10 minutes total to install. The easiest / most advanced method is to do it on a very warm day or have a blow dryer handy to help the vinyl conform with minimal bubbles.

I guess I am an idiot.
Dude I got the ones at revolution motorsports and they came on a flippin piece of paper and I even had my headlight completely off the car and worked on it. I had a blow dryer and the bubbles did not want to go away. These are for 03-05's correct? Aren't the 03-05s headlights bigger? Maybe since I have an 01 the headlamp is more curved?

Let me know, or see a side by side (vinyl and Blaze Red paint) once you get it. I might consider the black ones as I've been toying with painting the chrome grille pieces flat black.

No go on the burgundy matching the Blaze Red. I called and cancelled my order for that vinyl. Today I went to a local sign shop and looked at their burgundy vinyl (luckily it was from the same vinyl company) because I was curious too, and no... It's much darker red and more of a purple tint to it. :-? Looked like poo and matched up nowhere near how I was hoping. I'll continue my hunt for blaze red vinyl... Maybe someday... :(

raul-01, and yes, these are for the 03's and I think they might have a little less curvature than the '01 headlights... The only thing tricky about these headlights, are the edges (it's hard to explain - you'd have to just look at the edges of the headlights.) There's like a beveled edge kinda' thing. :) That's where I got some of my wrinkles and bubbles, but the sun the next day took care of most of them.

Actually, I'm still currently working on those. Blackroseracing sent me a spare headlight he had to work with it as far as the design goes. I'll keep you posted.

Bump for the '03 eyelids.

2000-2002 design is still under development...

I'm currently not using a typical vinyl cutter/plotter like normal vinyl shops... I'm cutting these out by hand via Xacto knife since I don't have the $1000 to buy one at the moment. :( If you're still interested, send me the pattern to that address above (eyelids[at]highbrowmedia.com) and I'll get you a price.

its a wierd set up.. gets confusing(i pay insurance/up keep and my mom pays the payment) but me an my mom own it kind of like dream cars for both of us.. so why not get it.. and well i need something to cruise and pick up girls on the weekend since the neon is getting rebuilt from the ground up .. its faster than my neon and gots tons of lil goodies.. one thing i like best is autostick... just cruise and its auto.. if i race.. not like i ever race that real big 5.7 340hp hemi... ok sometimes i just "test it" turns standard...

03sxt my mom is kinda looking "sideways" since its exactoknife no dirt just you know well see whats going on my mom wants a hood and fenders and i want 22's and eyelids... one thing we agree over is exhuast/CAI and headers...lol

Negative. I can't really come up with anything creative or different from the ones out there right now. :( I'll toy around with another idea here before long and I'll keep you guys posted.
