Conversion!

Ok i have seen and heard alot of talks about making 00-02 look like 03-05..by getting headlights, hoods, bumpers etc...i was wondering if there is anyone out there willing to go the opposite. Make an srt 4 into a true sleeper. Revert back to a 00-02 look, debatch your car, and put es or sxt on it. I have an 02 es/sxt so i cant do it. Any takers?!..lol

you actually can do it, its called an srt motor swap, and soon enough ill have done it in my car! I havent seen any srt guys go out of their way to make their car look like a reg neon just to get the sleeper look, but its possible.

you have to cut the 00-02 front bumper in order for the FMIC to fit right... i think thats about it. Maybe to cutouts in the rear for the pipes...

yeah..anything is possible w/ enough money. and if an srt owner really did revert back to the older style, they could sell the stock srt parts for a pretty penny to pay for swapping back.

i went backwards on my front end... not an srt though. car is an 05 with 00-02 headlights and bumper.

I really wish you'd rethink what you've done. The SRT bumper was the sex, now its just mismatchy.

theres a thread around here with pics of the conversion. it looks ok, but im not a fan of the srtd its not quite the same as the srt4 front. DB gets bonus points for creativity in my book tho, i think the idea is cool.
