just checking. tire sizes

Ok just for shits and giggles i was going to try and toss my buds 18's on my neon so see how they would look...

Now i know they fit his SRT with room to spare.

Tires are 225/40/18
I have Eibach pro springs and Tockico blues.

I tryed looking for the post talking about this but i couldnt find it.
Im almost positive that they wont fit without being like 30 series and 215. am i right in assuming this?

That sounds about right. I know to get the stock SRT-4 tires which I think are like 205/50/17 or something close to that i had to cut off the bottom spring seat. Something else to watch for would be the tire rubbing against the control arm at full lock. Mine are real close.

i have 225/40/18 but i also have a horrid offset for neons lol i had to completely remove the spring support thingy and ive got maybe 1/8" between the rim/tire and the strut body itself.
