New Brakes - Brembo/Bosch

Post by GTS » Tue Mar 28, 2006 1:26 pm

After some 5 years of use I figured its time to replace the discs and since the pads were also pretty messed up I changed both the pads and the rotors.

Rotors are not drilled or slotted but they are still nice. The pads from bosch are Ceramic and the rotors are precision balanced and goated against rust.

The rotors were 160 shipped from tire rack.
The pads were FREE from Bosch

Braking improved considerably, and I am happy with the way it turned out.

Actually they are vented as most front rotors are. The space between the front and back halves of the rotor is the vent. Now they are not cross-drilled or slotted.

Looks MUCH better btw. Enjoy the new stopping power.

Opsssssssss that is what I meant. I better edit that. I was thinking I could have gotten some from Ebay for 80$/pair Vented and Sloted but there is no guarantee as to how well they were made so I said screw it. Brembo is Brembo no doubt about it. Thanks for the edit . GTS

Bosch has some sort of life time replacement program.

The problem is that most people dont hold on to the box or receipt for 3-4 years but if you do that then they replace them for free. I dont know about the Discs thou. This is the first set I ever purchased.
