i hate to start new topics, but i havent seen one close to mine... (i might be blind tho...)
I have drums for my rear currently... i have no abs either, i wanan put disc on the rear... will rear SRT discs work fine, or can i use the rear discs of a car that had ABS? or the rear discs of an R/T???
and... to be more noobish
what parts do i need, and or what has to be changed, replaced or added?

well i am doing this swap today and i just got the whole srt4 rear brake setup and it looks like that i will only have to swap the assembllies and then hook up and adjust the parking brake lines and the brake lines, but i have yet to start so i will take pics and post the progess.
two tone paint, srt carbonfiber hood and trunk, tokico blues, dropzone springs, energy full urethane suspention, srt rear brakessrt sway bars, R34 body kit.
Alpine CDA-9955, Alpine amps Audiobahn 1206 flameQ, and still working on it.

whats the diff in R/T brakes and SRT-4 Brakes??? and would i hve to change the whole e-brake cable, or just adjust it?

I think the only difference in R/T and SRT is that R/T are not as thick (rotor and pads) that and that SRT's are powdercoated red
when you do the swap the ebrake cables have to be swapped from drum to disk.

i thought r/t and srt were the same... at least for the rear. its the 1gn that are different tickness.

hmm... what all has to be done to remove the rear disc brakes? and how hard is it to remove the e-brake cable?

well i just finished mine today and the spindle on the o1-05 have the same sizing as the srt-4 so what i did was popped the top off the drum and then changed the 4 bolts holding the drum to the spindle. after that i released tension on the e-brake and took of the cables and then disconected the brake lines. i then slide off the baring hub and pulled of the rest of the drum. i then put on the dust sheid and put the 4 bolt back in. after that i slide on the srt-4 hub and then torqed it back down. after that it was just like the front brakes and was a breeze. i took me 3 hours and most of that was B.S. ing with my friends. so just let me know if you need any more pionters

did you by any chance take any picys?
Ive never screwed with my brakes before...
also... i dont have a hydraluic jack or jack stands yet... so, if i do this, it might be on the cars jack... this can be done 1 at a time right?

Look to see if you have a Harbor Freight store around you to pickup a jack and jackstands. It'll help out a lot and pretty easy on the bank account. I got my low-profile jack there for about $50-60 and jackstands are only about $10-15.

closest one is Ft. Worth, thats about 45mins - 1 hour away from me

And i can get a 3-4 Ton Hydraluic Jack from Wal-Mart for about $30 and a set of 3 ton jack stands for $15... im just too poor, and havent really run into the need to buy those yet

just thought of something... since i dont have rear swaybar..., and i plan on changin to rear disc brakes... could i just change the entire rear suspension to that of an SRT? struts and all? Or will i run into problems?

It'll work, the SRT rear disc setup is 98% identical to the R/T setup. Only difference is rotor thickness and color of the calipers.

but it is really easy. this was the first time i ver worked on my brakes and they look awesome, no i have to paint the reas black and get some drilled and sloted for the rears now

Yes, I did the same thing (used my drum spindles), I had to because my SRT swap had a bent spindle.......so, um, yes, they are all identical.

Rear spindles are the same from 95-05, SRT included.
I just swapped 1st gen rear discs from a '95 onto my '00 a couple months ago when I put my Konis in.

I found/bought a complete setup for the j-yard for $150 (get new pads and rotors or get them machined) .... make it easier on yourself and get the spindle as well so all you have to do is swap spindles and swap e-brake lines...

Not to high jack , but after the swap is braking performance the same.. I have non abs with srt rear disk and have problem with rear lock up.. (hard braking) is mine just messed up or is this a problem?

everything is easy but the brake cables, make sure you release the auto adjuster on the parking brake under the console or they will never go on....drum and disc cables are completely differnet
