Alright, how 'bout if someone posts pics of their pod installed (non-srt cars). Maybe I can figure it out with a picture.
I'm not sure how much modification my dash needs to install this sucker.
Any help would be fantastic! Thanks guys and girls. Paul.

It mounts under the lip of the top of the dash like where the little ledge is... Kinda' hard to explain, but I'll try to find a pic. And I believe it's just held there by a single screw. And I'm not sure if the non-SRT Neons have the mark under the lip or not since the interiors are virtually the same... I dunno.... I'll search for a pic.
Hopefully this helps... Better than nothing, right?

Actually it is 2 pieces, the pod screws into the dash like 03sxt said, and yes there is a marker for the screw hole too, if you feel aroudn under it, you can feel a small round thing, thats the lil marker for where to put the hole. You will have to take your entire dash out, then unscrew the 2 parts of the dash, to access the inside dash area so you can screw the pod in. Im not quite sure as to how the pod is screwed on, i know it has a lil peg on the mount side of the pod, so im not sure if thats the screw hole or not. if it were me, i would drill 2 holes, 1 for the screw and 1 for the gauge wires so its nice and hidden.
Hope that helps out some!

That does help, thanks.
I already have the dual pillar gauge pod that houses my oil temp and oil pressure gauges.
I suppose I could replace it with a triple, but this seemed cheaper and I think the single pod looks pretty cool.

i have herd of people putting 4 (i think was the number) above the guage cluster. Im thinkin it would cover the spedo right around 60ish. so im thinkin about putting 2 on one over the tem guage and one over my fuel guage.

Umm, not sure if you are talking about a normal neon dash or srt-4 dash, but with a normal neon dash you need to do some cutting. When you take the dash out, seperate the peice over the cluster, then mark were you want the pod and start cutting. Easiest way is with a dremil tool....

Thats an srt-4 pod in a non-srt 4 dash. Hope that helps.

Hey daaboots, I was just checking out your CarDomain page for the how-to on the gauge pod install. Unfortunately, I just found out that is a no-go for 00 through early 03. The spot where you attach the pod to the dash insert isn't there.
Damn this sucks. I don't really want to glue mine in, but it's looking more and more like it's my only option. Anybody do this gauge pod install on an 00-03?

I just did on mine and found the same problem and I had to end up gluing it.jonnymopar wrote:Hey daaboots, I was just checking out your CarDomain page for the how-to on the gauge pod install.
