CAI noise is REALLY LOUD

ok i got the ebay cold air intake and it is awsome except the sound. Now i know it is supposed to make a nice growl. But the noise comming from it is REALLY loud. So loud it gives me a headahe. IS this the fog horn noise that i have read about or is something wrong. Help me please

The foghorn is a smooth, low tuba-sounding noise that tends to come on when idling at a stop, especially on hot days, and will usually always show up when the AC or fan come on (the strain on the motor to run the acc's cause a stronger vaccuum, i believe). a CAI will make the car sound quite mean in open/WOT driving, but is pretty mellow in reg driving. BTW you could have posted this in the foghorn thread, no need to start a new one. have you tried adjusting the screws or are you hoping that its just gonna go away on its own? tell us what youve done to fix the prob so we can help solve it.
