thought this was cool

so i was driving today and im at the light and i see a red srt with gunmetal rims pulling out of the gas station across the intersection. The light turns green and i wanted to get close to the srt to check it out cause i love them cars. Hes driving pretty slow in the right lane and i come up kinda quick and just pull up next to him and i look over and he nods at me and i nodded at him. Kinda like a "aye man nice neon".....it was like a respectful nod you know. And i just drove off and he made a right. It made me feel good cause i saw this hooked up srt and we kinda like just respected eachother for being neon owners. I thought it was cool, what you guys think?

shit that reminds me. I was driving on I-35 North and I saw a silver stock SRT-4 getting on the highway. So I sped up and I caught up with him. I manually rolled down my window as he just pressed a button.

I go like, "I wish my car had a turbo!" He nods and gave me a smile and said something, but really couldn't hear him cause we were going like 70 on the interstate. Then he waved and drove off really fast. Sweet little moment cause I really don't see any srt-4s at all around my area.

On another note. I saw a red 2gn 03-05 model with a body kit that was damaged with some white rims. It had a quad exhaust. Looked like it wasn't kept up well. But it was a modded Neon.. don't see those around here either. Makes me feel special.

around here i just get funny looks from srt dudes. i truly believe that none of them know that the neon has a pretty huge aftermarket following, and i feel like they think srts are the first performance neons on the road. i guess thats a lot to assume just from a look or two huh? man i AM paranoid i need to stop haha

You are not entirely wrong. Just peruse the SRT forums, and you will come across some of the most stupid noobs in existence. Ever.

sucks that THEY get the expensive turbo cars and i could hardly afford an sxt. some kids are gettin em at the age of 16/17. thats just nuts

There mommy and daddy pay for their payments and the insurance too I bet. The ones I respect are the ones with a job and work their ass off for their car. That one kid that just died might of been one of them.. Don't know though. All I know is that the kids out here in Ks work their tail ends off for a nice car. In my area atleast.

everything ive done to my ride so far has come from weeks and months of saving a bit at a time. I pay for everything, but my dad cosigned and put 3k down for my graduation present last year. if it wasnt for that, id be in a beater (which i actually wouldnt mind, seeing my money going away each month). so ill admit my daddy helped me and im a spoiled brat (haha jk). he said no to the srt cuz i dont make enough

I should have pushed it harder so i could be in the spoiled brat club too. its all good tho, when i swap in the srt motor and get my car running good im gonna walk srts like dogs.
